I am an urban agroecology educator or urbicultora at UNAM, UAQ and ENSQ. I am also an ESL Teacher for future Secondary education teachers. I have been Media Intern at Friends of the Earth International in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and Microregional and Programs Assistant at Fundación Comunitaria Oaxaca for Demiregión Project in Oaxaca, México. I am part of the CONACYT Biocultural Heritage Network and part of the Urban Greening collaborative Project of Querétaro se Diseña citizen initiative in Querétaro, México.
I teach the course Political Ecology of the Food Systems for Environmental Sciences selected topics at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM-UMDI-J), Earth Science Division. I am also a former of ESL Teachers A1-A2-B1 (MCER) at Normal Superior del Estado de Querétaro ENSQ for future Secondary education teachers. I have been assistant Professor in Agroecology and Territorial Sovereignty course and International Relations Theory at the Political Sciences Department and Philosophy Department of the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (UAQ) (2015-2018). I have also teach for the Gastronomer major, the course in Food Sovereingty.
My researchs interests include topics related to community forestry co-ops governance, forest products marketing, urban agroecology and language for Normalistas teachers with a focus on agroecological pedagogies. My doctoral research discusses the agroecological practices in urban gardens and its effects on stewardship of an agrodiversity pool of crops. My current masters in pedagogies of educaction seeks to engange Secondary education teachers with a Living pharmacy garden as a bottom-up and community action-based strategie for transformation.
